I invite couples and families to explore their difficult dynamics in the interest of developing more honest and compassionate ways of relating. Sessions often begin with a check-in - what is happening right now, and what are the issues that you may want to work on. That is followed by a free flowing discussion. My aim is to provide a safe container where feelings and hard truths can be expressed and received.

I follow your lead. Together we may look for patterns, such as why a partner or parent may have trouble recognizing loving gestures, or what old pains resurface again and again. Using a social justice lens, we consider how culture and the social and political forces of our time play a role. Sometimes I incorporate creative arts, other times attention to physical sensations in the body. With greater awareness comes shifts in behavior – sometimes subtle, other times swift changes occur.

I only have current openings for couples and families (family members 18 and over). All sexual orientations and gender expressions welcome.
