As a psychotherapist who practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Brainspotting (BSP), I blend the best of traditional therapeutic techniques with modern insights to offer my clients transformative experience. My journey in psychotherapy began with a passion for helping individuals, leading me to attain a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My practice is deeply influenced by the teachings of Bruce Tift and Terry Real, emphasizing the pivotal role of building resilient, trusting bonds with clients. This foundational principle has been instrumental in assisting my clients as they navigate challenges ranging from anxiety and depressive disorders to intricate relationship difficulties and communication impasses.

My compassionate and client-centric methodology focuses on healing. It equips clients with the essential skills and tools to lead lives with contentment and purpose. Outside the confines of the therapy room, my life experiences as a retired law enforcement officer, a proud disabled military veteran, a devoted father, and a relationship survivor further accentuate my empathetic and holistic approach toward clients. My love for the great outdoors is evident in my leisure pursuits – the exhilarating thrill of riding bikes, the serenity of rafting and paddle boarding, the adventure of hiking, or simply soaking in nature's grandeur. These passions, coupled with the joy of socializing with friends, have been my sanctuaries and constantly remind me of the healing power of connection, both with oneself and the world around me.

CLINICAL APPROACH

In my clinical practice, I combine techniques from CBT, SFBT, family and couples therapy, heavily influenced by Bruce Tift's emphasis on building deep, trusting client relationships. My work with couples is enriched by Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy, and I offer specialized trauma care through methods like Brainspotting and Accelerated Life Therapy. My diverse personal experiences, from law enforcement to fatherhood, coupled with my love for nature, drive my holistic approach to healing, encompassing mind, body, and spirit.
