If talk therapy hasn’t brought lasting change, my approach may help you go deeper. Simply talking about problems doesn’t always resolve them and can sometimes reinforce them. Traditional talk therapy often works on the surface rather than at the brain level where many problems are rooted. I use evidence-based experiential therapies and mindfulness to quiet the thinking mind and access deeper emotional material so you can get to the root of what’s hurting. Many struggles - depression, anxiety, low self-worth - stem from unconscious learning and trauma held deep in the brain. This part of us operates with a different logic; it speaks through feelings, images, and automatic responses. Its messages can feel like absolute truth, for example, “if I let myself rest, everything will fall apart,” or “if I’m not perfect, I’ll be unloved.” I work in a loving yet directive manner to help you connect with your goals and get the most out of every session. Healing happens when we meet all parts of ourselves with compassion, respect, and curiosity. You’re welcome to bring your spirituality into sessions in whatever way feels right. Many clients describe receiving inner guidance, deep connection, and meaningful insights during mindful processing. I also teach practical tools to strengthen intuition, deepen self-care, and support your continued healing between sessions. We can’t change our childhoods or outer circumstances, but we can change how they live inside us.
